
Crane Operator

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to operate various types of cranes to lift, move, position, and place machinery, equipment, and other large objects at construction sites, ports, warehouses, or industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate crane equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to manufacturer instructions and project requirements.
Inspect crane mechanisms and lifting components to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Determine load weights and ensure proper rigging before lifting.
Communicate with riggers, signalers, and ground personnel using hand signals, radios, or other means.
Follow load charts and lift plans to ensure safe load limits.
Conduct daily equipment checks and routine maintenance; report defects or malfunctions.
Adhere to all site safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
Assist in crane setup, dismantling, and transport when necessary.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Mobile Crane Operators require NCCCO or CIC Certification.
Minimum two (2) years crane operation experience.
Proven experience operating mobile, tower, or overhead cranes.
Understanding of crane load charts, rigging, and signaling practices.
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work in varying weather conditions and at heights.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for long periods.
Manual dexterity and coordination.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
