Child Placement Coordinator
to serve
Craven, Pamlico, and Jones counties in North Carolina . In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting children and families involved in foster care by coordinating placements, services, and supports that lead to stability, safety, and positive outcomes.

Work Schedule:
Part-Time Monday – Friday; 20-25 hours per week (varying schedule, some evenings)
Your Role in Our Mission
As a Child Placement Coordinator, your work will directly support children receiving treatment in foster care and the families who care for them. You will coordinate placement services, oversee service delivery, and ensure that children and families receive high-quality, person-centered care in accordance with best practices and state standards.
Your work will include intake, casework, service planning, and ongoing coordination of services and resources affecting children and their families. Through advocacy, collaboration, and consistent oversight, you will help ensure that children experience stability, safety, and opportunities for growth.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate admission and discharge planning with contracted agencies, including completing all required documentation prior to placement
Conduct an initial in-person visit with each child within 48 hours of placement and provide ongoing weekly supervision of foster homes through in-person visits
Facilitate person-centered planning and Child and Family Team meetings
Develop initial and ongoing revisions of person-centered plans and monitor implementation to ensure services meet identified needs
Advocate for personal outcomes for children and families while adhering to best practices
Link children, adolescents, and families to additional community services, arrange referrals, and complete applications as needed
Supervise and monitor service delivery through home and community visits to ensure compliance with state, local, and ESPH standards

$22.30 – $23.30 , based on experience

What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, candidates must be willing to work in a
hybrid office and community-based setting , including travel within assigned counties and visits to private homes.
Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a Human Services–related field
Must meet
North Carolina Qualified Professional (QP) requirements for Child Mental Health Services , including a minimum of
two (2) years of experience providing mental health services to children .
Previous experience in foster care and/or teaching preferred
Skills & Qualifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to advocate effectively for children and families
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and current auto insurance
