Summary
The Parts Clerk is responsible for the receipt, verification, labeling, storage, documentation, coordination, shipping and security of all parts and materials. This position requires data entry with the use of an inventory software program.

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure accuracy and reliability of data entered into inventory software program

Track and coordinate the movement of parts and materials; to include unloading deliveries, organizing inbound product, verification of received product

Responsible for verifying outbound product, packing product, and properly loading product onto trucks

Maintain list of parts be ordered, both stock parts and non-stock parts for repair orders

Sorts, counts, packages, labels, verifies count, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received in inventory software program

Pull parts and materials when requested

Perform regular cycle count of inventory as directed by supervisor

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must have strong organizational skills

Must have computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, and the ability to learn company specific software

Must have financially sound judgment to handle and transport valuable parts

Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Education and/or Experience

High School Diploma or GED

Experience with parts inventory a plus

Forklift experience required

Experience utilizing a hand scanner is highly preferred

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk stairs and/or climb ladders. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
