About the Role
Hammer Media is hiring a Finance Producer for our hit show Financial Audit. You’ll be responsible for developing a deep understanding of each guest’s financial situation and using that knowledge to drive pre‑production planning, in‑show storytelling, and post‑production structure. In this role, you’ll be the subject matter expert of each guest’s financials, identifying compelling financial insights to help create engaging storylines for the show. The right person is finance‑savvy, detail oriented, and has creative flair.
What You’ll Do
Become the subject‑matter expert on each guest’s financials: credit cards, balances, income, retirement, spending habits, and debt.
Ensure financial insights are accurate, contextualized, and narrative‑ready for both filming and post‑production.
Redact financial documents to protect guest privacy.
Identify notable patterns or purchases that can create engaging storylines and enhance viewer engagement.
Assess document quality before casting decisions are made.
Participate in pre‑production meetings to align finances with episode storytelling.
Be on set during filming and actively support the team with interesting elements related to the conversation.
Collaborate with the team on the ideal flow and emphasis of financial documents.
Compare guest situations with broader trends (e.g., similar income, occupation, region) to build context.
Join thumbnail and title brainstorming sessions to help package the story for maximum viewer impact.
Communicate and manage sponsorships / stakeholders to ensure we are effectively filming / editing / inserting sponsorships as required.
Who You Are
Strong analytical and storytelling skills
Deep attention to detail, especially when handling sensitive financial data
Must be an effective and professional communicator, written and verbal
Highly organized and able to juggle multiple projects while maintaining high creative standards
Self‑motivated and a self‑starter
Experience working in a fast‑paced environment with tight turnarounds
Basic understanding and familiarity with the YouTube platform
Flexible availability to meet the needs of the business (stepping into roles as needed, including covering for other producers).
