
Sr Finance Manager – TPA

Finance managers who only report numbers miss the point—the real value comes from translating financial data into strategic insights that drive better business decisions. As our Senior Finance Manager for TPA operations, you'll serve as the financial partner to organizational leaders, helping them understand expense trends, manage budgets effectively, and make informed decisions about investments and initiatives. You'll own planning, reporting, and analysis for all TPA expenses (personnel and non-personnel) while supporting Finance and TPA leaders on critical projects. Your ability to prepare clear forecasts, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and lead productive budget conversations directly impacts whether leaders can execute their strategies within financial targets.
What You'll Actually Do
Analyze and forecast headcount:
Maintain comprehensive headcount forecasts including bonus, benefits, taxes, and capitalization to ensure accurate personnel expense planning.
Manage vendor spend forecasting:
Analyze and maintain vendor spend forecasts to track non-personnel expenses and identify optimization opportunities.
Partner with business leaders:
Support leaders on expense budgets, responding to ad‑hoc requests and providing financial guidance for decision‑making.
Lead monthly expense analysis:
Conduct monthly expense reviews, collaborate with Controllership on month‑end activities, and ensure proper accruals are booked accurately.
Prepare OpEx reporting:
Develop OpEx reports for the business, set up and lead monthly OpEx review meetings to drive expense accountability and visibility.
Drive annual planning processes:
Prepare quarterly forecasts and Annual Operating Plan, support target setting, and work with organization to implement plans within established targets.
Develop cost‑benefit analyses:
Create CBAs for TPA initiatives and projects to inform investment decisions and prioritization.
Manage project accounting:
Oversee project accounting for TPA initiatives to track costs and ensure financial alignment.
Support leadership requests:
Respond to questions from NMC and Senior Leadership, providing timely answers to ad‑hoc financial inquiries.
Maintain and improve systems:
Manage Anaplan financial planning system, drive adoption across organization, and implement system improvements for better functionality.
What You Bring to Our Team
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
5‑10 years experience in similar financial planning and analysis role
Prior TPA experience is a plus
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in Excel and Power BI
Experience with financial planning systems (Anaplan and NetSuite preferred)
Excellent analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights
Clear and effective communication skills (verbal and written) for presenting financial information to non‑finance audiences
Proven ability to form strong business partner relationships and influence decision‑making

Compensation
This position offers a base salary range of $115,000 - $130,000, depending on location, skills, and experience. You're eligible for our full benefits package starting day one.
