Job: Food Service Coordinator
Position Summary
The Food Service Coordinator supervises the daily operations of patient meal services to ensure patients receive appropriate meals, nourishment, and snacks in a timely and safe manner, while checking tray accuracy for menus, portion control and diet needs and following up with patients to verify satisfaction. The coordinator assists with retail meal services as needed.
Essential Functions
Supervises daily operations of patient meal services
Checks patient tray accuracy for menus, portion control and diet needs and follows up with patients to verify satisfaction
Monitors timeliness and efficiency of patient meal delivery services
Assists in cafeteria as needed to ensure customers are served in a timely manner
Ensures that kitchen, equipment, and storage facilities are sanitary, neat, and organized
Leads by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees to reward, coach, correct, and motivate
Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as client policies and procedures (e.g., quality assurance, safety, operations, personnel)
Assists in continuity of service by filling in due to employee absences or other business needs
Comprehends and follows written or verbal instructions
Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives
Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled
Performs other duties as assigned
Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure
Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)
Work Experience
Two years of previous food service experience preferred.
Education
High school graduate or equivalent preferred
Ability to read and write English preferred
