Overview
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure reliability and performance of both our mobile and fixed equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with limited supervision. This role will be responsible for completing inspections, conducting preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment (both fixed and mobile machinery) to minimize downtime while ensuring optimal life cycles of the equipment.
Position Duties And Required Experience
Inspect, service and repair all equipment including trucks, tractors, trailers, lugger trucks, roll‑off trucks, choppers, balers, conveyors, shears, cranes, excavators, loaders, skid steers, fork trucks and other heavy equipment.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance to prevent breakdowns, and execute repairs while working in a high demand environment.
Understand electrical theory, control circuits, and motor controls for troubleshooting and repairing both fixed and mobile equipment. Experience with industrial machinery and systems including PLCs and control systems is a plus.
Maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic pumps, valves, and cylinders.
Cut, weld, and fabricate as needed.
Read electrical and hydraulic schematics accurately.
Work under pressure while troubleshooting and diagnosing the root cause of equipment failures.
Identify job hazards while working in compliance with all safety regulations, environmental policies and industry standards.
Look at the bigger picture while troubleshooting and finding root causes for downtime.
Adapt to a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment where priorities change rapidly.
Education
An Associate's degree or program certificate in industrial technology, automation, heavy mobile equipment repair or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
