Job Summary
The
Volleyball & Basketball Sports Coordinator
is responsible for running the 6 week i9 Sports Volleyball & Basketball programs. This person should have solid knowledge and experience playing both volleyball and basketball. You'll work with parent volunteers to teach concepts, skills, and drills for beginning and intermediate volleyball and basketball players.
Program Overview
The i9 Sports Season is a 6 week, one hour program (30 min practice and 30 min game) for kids ages 5-14. We offer both sports year-round in Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall Seasons.
Responsibilities
Work with i9 Sports staff to evaluate players and develop the 6 week practice curriculum.
Teach & demonstrate core volleyball and basketball concepts
Supervise the overall operation of volleyball and basketball on game day
Positively engage with kids and parents with a positive attitude and superior customer service skills
Referee games
Qualifications
Excellent communication skills - you need to be comfortable speaking to a group of kids and parent volunteer coaches in the gym to keep the program high-energy and highly instructional!
Highly motivated self-starter; can work independently & solve problems
Awareness & ability to take charge of any situation to ensure the safety of players
Ability to work weekends 7am - 2pm in Novato and Petaluma
