Schedule: 3rd Shift 10:45PM – 7:15AM

Pay Rate: $30.00/hr (Base) plus $1.00/hr (Shift Differential)

Position Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician in Thomasville, NC. As a Maintenance Tech, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, performing repairs, installations and maintenance on plant equipment, production machinery, blow mold equipment and facility.

Responsibilities

Maintain blow mold/injection mold machines, baggers & other related equipment in optimal processing condition

Troubleshoot, repair and maintain pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems, electrical power supply and control circuits

Install, adjust and repair blow mold, trimmers, palletizer and other related equipment

Perform mold, neck tooling changes, pin and other equipment changes

Inspect and replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses

Inspect, rebuild and replace valves and pumps

Perform preventive maintenance on all related equipment

Program and troubleshoot PLC systems

Perform welding & fabrication as needed

Solicit information and feedback from other departments toward repair and the efficient operation of machines

Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

2+ years’ machine maintenance experience, specifically in the manufacturing industry

2+ years’ experience as a machine operator

2+ years’ experience with blow mold machines

Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.)

Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills are required

Basic math and computer skills

Ability to read blueprints, schematics and manuals

Ability to work overtime

Physical stamina and strength/able to stand for long periods of time

Must be able to train on 1st shift, if needed

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
