Overview

This position is responsible for providing exemplary customer service, with a focus on driving sales, marketing initiatives, assisting with daily operations, and special events within a retail environment at the Sabre Shop located in the Aquatic Fitness Center.
Responsibilities

Supervision and training of student staff to assist with daily operations.
Create weekly schedules, set clear expectations with staff and provide feedback when needed.
Ensure store is neat, clean, and fully stocked.
Work directly with Operations Manager on inventory and operational needs.
Required Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Required Experience

Up to 4 years of retail experience
Preferred Experience

At least 2 years of supervisory experience
Required, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong customer service skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong mathematical skills
Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft applications, email, and other basic functions
Ability to operate a cash register and inventory computer system
Required Computer Applications

Microsoft Word and Excel, Microsoft Outlook (email)
Position Type & Work Location

This is an exempt-level, benefited position. Work arrangement: This position is based in Charlottesville, VA, and must be performed fully on-site.
