Job Summary
The Outreach Specialist plays a vital role in connecting communities with essential resources and services. This position involves developing and implementing outreach strategies to promote public health initiatives, support addiction counseling programs, and enhance community engagement. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills and a passion for social work, ensuring that programs are effectively communicated and delivered to those in need.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute outreach plans to raise awareness about public health initiatives and addiction counseling services.
Supervise volunteers and manage recruitment efforts to build a strong team dedicated to community service.
Collaborate with local organizations and stakeholders to identify community needs and tailor programs accordingly.
Lead fundraising efforts to support outreach activities and program development.
Conduct presentations and workshops to educate the community on available resources and services.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach programs, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, participant engagement, and program outcomes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, or a related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience in project management, with a proven ability to oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Knowledge of addiction counseling practices is highly desirable.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse populations effectively.
Experience in volunteer management and recruiting is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective community interaction.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
