Job Description
Establish specific objectives and lesson plans for directing and evaluating student learning.
Provide pupil guidance, which will promote good citizenship, and encourage lifelong learning.
Provide for the care and protection of students.
Provide for the care of materials, equipment and facilities.
Participate in the planning, evaluation, and upgrading of the school program.
Be responsible for student attendance and permanent records.
Maintain cordial and cooperative working relationships with colleagues.
Report pupil progress to the administration and parents as directed.
Continuously demonstrate mastery of the subject area taught and mastery of generally acceptable instruction techniques.
Be responsible for co-curricular and other duties beyond the regular classroom activities as may be determined by the building principal.
Be a role model and example that promotes good habits and behavior from the students.
Provide an atmosphere of dignity, mutual respect, industry, and self-initiative.
Give instruction in safety pertaining to the building and equipment with which the student may come in contact.
Knows and follows school policy and the chain of command.
Acts ethically and confidentially in all aspects of employment.
Performs such school-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications Profile
Idaho State Certification – K‑8 or 6‑12 Math
Bachelor’s Degree in Education from an accredited college or university
