Job Title: Dump Truck Driver - Hampton Roads
Major Role and Purpose
Drives Dump Trucks for transporting construction materials to job and plant locations.

Description of Duties

Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.

Safety maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.

Pull or push levers to dump materials.

Move hand and foot controls to move truck forward and backward to aid in the placement of material.

May perform other related duties, such as lifting & moving transported material.

Inspect truck equipment and supplies in accordance with CDL pre‑trip guidelines.

Use hand tools when necessary.

Oil, lubricate, and/or general maintenance of equipment may be required.

Knowledge of DOT standards and requirements and adhere to same.

Maintain daily log.

Understanding verbal & written directions, GPS.

Able to communicate with management & foreman on job sites.

Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.

Education

High School Diploma / GED.

Work Experience and Qualifications

Must possess a valid CDL, Class B with air brake endorsement.

Minimum of 2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles preferred.

Vision must be acceptable to both day and night driving.

Ability to do basic math.

Physical Demands

Job requires the following motions: climbing, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, vibrating, and reaching.

Must be able to climb up and down a ladder.

Able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Potential exposure to extremes of hot or cold weather.

Overtime work is required.

Physical strength must be enough to climb in and out of truck throughout the workday, carry chutes, and carry out tasks that may be assigned to you.
