Human Resources Generalist
Campus Enterprises is seeking a dynamic
HR Generalist
to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you will serve as a vital partner to supervisors and employees, ensuring that our division operates smoothly, stays compliant, and upholds the highest standards of HR excellence.
Work Schedule
40 hours Monday – Friday, with occasional weekends for recruiting events; overtime may be required during peak periods.
Salary Range
$58,000 – $59,600
Responsibilities
Employment Lifecycle Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for student, temporary, and SHRA employment requests.
Compliance & Recordkeeping: Take a lead role in managing the
I-9 system
and
OnBase
(our digital personnel file system) to ensure strict adherence to federal and state regulations.
Talent Acquisition Support: Partner with hiring managers and selection committees to navigate University hiring policies and ensure staffing needs are met efficiently.
Payroll & Leave Administration: Review bi-weekly and monthly payroll for accuracy.
Manage time corrections within the
WolfTime
system.
Assist with complex leave administration, including
FMLA, PPL, and Workers' Compensation .
Data Integrity: Perform all data entry within the
HRIM
system with high attention to detail.
Training & Development: Identify procedural gaps and assist in developing and delivering training to divisional staff.
Other Responsibilities
Model the Division's mission and values, introduce the Division’s mission and values to employees, and foster a positive, cohesive workplace and congeniality among co-workers.
Understand the goals and culture of the organization, and understand how employees´ work activities, teamwork, and customer service impact clients. Work with your supervisor and colleagues to understand these goals and the culture.
Adhere to all University policies, procedures, and regulations, and Division standard operating practices and protocols.
May serve on division or university committees, including search committees.
Assist with various HR related projects/assignments/tasks. Perform other duties as assigned to ensure Human Resources business needs are met.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Regulatory Expertise: Strong working knowledge of federal and state HR laws, as well as University-specific policies.
Systems Fluency: Comfort with HRIM systems, payroll software, and digital filing platforms.
Efficiency: The ability to manage high-volume transactional processes in a timely and accurate manner.
Communication Skills: Delivers excellent customer service by providing clear, actionable guidance to supervisors while building strong, collaborative relationships with employees, customers, peers, and University Human Resources.
Deadline Management: Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, including meeting deadlines and entering a high volume of data.
Required License or Certification
Valid NC Driver's License required.
