General Function
The MSU West Plains campus is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Part-Time CDL Driver to support campus transportation operations.
Description of Primary Duties
Operate university shuttle buses to safely transport students, faculty, staff, and visitors to designated locations in accordance with university schedules and special event needs.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are safe, clean, and in good working order.
Report any incidents or maintenance issues promptly.
Maintain accurate records including mileage logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation.
Provide courteous, timely, and professional service, promoting a positive image of the university.
Comply with all DOT , state, local, and university transportation regulations and policies.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
Valid Class B CDL license with a Passenger Endorsement required.
Must have proven safety track record.
Additional Qualifications
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work a flexible, part-time schedule including mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.
Ability to sit for extended periods.
Must be able to climb steps, bend, and perform basic vehicle inspection tasks.
