Position Summary
The
SAP
Application Functional Analyst
is an essential role in the development of software application solutions used by the business community. The Application Functional Analyst uses deep functional and application knowledge to translate those into artifacts that are used by application development teams to create and deliver a solution within an SAP functional area of expertise. The Application Functional Analyst may also have business process or industry knowledge within the functional area, enabling the individual to support and guide the business process analyst through design, build and test of a project's business processes.
What you will do
Defining business scenarios and managing the SAP PTP Change Request (CR) pipeline.
Designing processes and Just-in-Time (JIT) system logic, including batch jobs.
Defining requirements including developing function object test approach, designed data mining process.
Conducting fit/gap/manual analysis.
Creating functional specifications including data mining development.
Configuring software including SAP plant configuration, enterprise structure, configuration of system, develop and conduct prototype.
Designing master data including to-be master data object identification and design, reporting and analytics development (including Certified Datasets), BI application reports.
Executing functional object testing (including SAP BTP Migration validation), solution validation and populating function object test environment.
Conducting super-user training.
Executing cut-over.
Stabilizing the post go‑live environment.
Longer term application management and maintenance, if required.
When you will work
Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
Hybrid schedule, 4 days in office in Wyoming, MI with 1 day remote
What you'll bring to the table
Bachelor's Degree required.
Five to eight years previous SAP ERP analysis or ERP software development experience.
Demonstrated understanding of SAP Procure-to-Pay (PTP) technologies.
Strong commitment to software quality.
Proven analytical, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
Solid customer focus, teamwork, innovation, creativity, and relationship building.
Must have problem‑solving capabilities.
Must have the ability to multi‑task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment.
Must demonstrate drive and initiative and be highly motivated toward company, team, and individual results and maintains a high focus on priorities.
Ability to develop solutions to a variety of complex problems and reference established precedents and policies.
Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
