Contract Specialist-SaaS and IT agreements

A global oil and gas organization is seeking to add a Contract Specialist to their team. This role is responsible for negotiating, reviewing, and managing contracts related to oil and gas projects. The Contract Specialist will collaborate closely with engineers, technicians, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure contracts are structured appropriately, aligned with company objectives, and executed accurately.
Essential Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Redline and negotiate terms and conditions in IT‑related agreements for Professional Services, software licenses, SaaS, data licensing, hardware, telecom, SOWs, Order Forms, etc. with selected contractors and vendors.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, such as technical leads, risk management, tax group, and legal teams as well as working with outside legal counsel, to ensure that contracts are drafted to protect OXY’s interests and align with project requirements and organizational policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
5 plus years of directly related experience.
Experience with redlining and negotiating terms and conditions in IT‑related agreements for Professional Services, software licenses, SaaS, data licensing, hardware, telecom, SOWs, Order Forms, etc. with selected contractors and vendors.
