Highway Maintenance Worker II

The Dept. of Public Works is seeking a motivated and collaborative person, with a safety mindset, to join its highway maintenance team. This full-time opportunity offers work/life balance, with a base Monday thru Friday, 7AM – 3PM schedule. Overtime opportunities are available as well as, on occasion, required.
Successful applicants will have experience in the maintenance & construction of roads and drainage systems, snow removal and the operation of various pieces of equipment, including heavy equipment such as a road grader and excavator. Provides routine maintenance and repairs to Town infrastructure, including buildings and grounds, streets and sidewalks, drainage systems and snow removal. Operation of light equipment and a variety of hand tools.
Experience operating heavy equipment, buildings and grounds maintenance, construction, snow removal, or driving commercial trucks preferred. Valid Commercial Driver’s License required.
