NOTICE OF VACANCY
POSITION:

Jr/Sr High School Spanish Teacher

REPORTS TO:

Jr/Sr High School Principal

STARTING DATE:

Fall 2026

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

Valid Michigan Teachers’ Certificate with Spanish Certification (FF).

Graduate of a recognized college or university.

Highly qualified, as defined by the Michigan Department of Education.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

Teach secondary Spanish classes aligned with the curriculum adopted by the Board of Education, incorporating appropriate and engaging instructional practices.

Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials, including differentiated and small group instruction, to meet the individual needs of students.

Utilize Standards-Based Grading practices, maintain accurate records, and provide timely, meaningful feedback on student progress.

Apply best practices to promote student engagement, literacy development, and improved academic outcomes.

Demonstrate familiarity with 504/IEP plans and accommodation strategies for all learners.

Implement highly engaging instructional strategies and demonstrate knowledge of the MiTSS framework.

Collaborate effectively with colleagues, maintaining a positive/professional attitude.

Exhibit a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and experience in working with junior/senior high students.

Support students at all academic levels while contributing positively to the school community.
