Guest Teachers play an essential role in keeping learning on track when classroom teachers are absent. Choose when and where you work while supporting students in a positive, engaging environment. Training and ongoing support are provided.
What You’ll Do
Implement lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher
Supervise students and promote positive behavior
Maintain a safe, productive learning environment
Document the day’s activities for the regular teacher
Follow District policies and maintain confidentiality
Use the Red Rover system to manage assignments
What You Bring
Valid Colorado Teaching License or Colorado Substitute Authorization
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to adapt instruction to meet diverse learner needs
How to Become a Guest Teacher

Obtain Colorado licensure/authorization (if not already held)
Fingerprinting and background checks are required for Substitute Authorization. Applicants are responsible for fingerprinting fees.
