Smartland manages 1,400+ apartment homes across Greater Cleveland and is hiring a skilled Lead Plumbing Technician who takes pride in solving problems correctly the first time.

You’ll work across multiple apartment communities, partner with experienced maintenance teams, and coordinate with our trusted sewer cleaning company on complex drain and sewer issues.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday–Friday
Rotating on-call schedule for emergency repairs
Occasional evenings/weekends as needed
Travel between Cleveland-area properties
What You’ll Do
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential and multifamily buildings
Diagnose issues accurately and deliver durable, code‑compliant solutions
Service water lines, drainage systems, fixtures, boilers, and multifamily plumbing stacks
Support unit turns, capital projects, and preventive maintenance
Respond to emergency plumbing calls when scheduled
Coordinate on major sewer and blockage issues
Ensure compliance with local codes, OSHA standards, and safety practices
Document work orders and maintain clear service records
What You Bring
5+ years of professional plumbing experience
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of local plumbing codes and OSHA guidelines
Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
Experience in multifamily plumbing systems (preferred)
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined or elevated spaces
Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and own tools
Professional communication in occupied units
Self-management and strong work ethic
