
Sanitation Lead

2nd Shift flexible hours between 2PM-2AM Monday through Saturday availability.
The Sanitation Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the sanitation team to ensure the facility meets all food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards. This role involves training, coaching, and motivating team members, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and collaborating with other departments to support production goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Leadership & Training
Train, coach, and motivate sanitation team members to achieve “passing” scores on pre-operational hygiene and sanitation inspections.
Provide ongoing feedback and support to team members; foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Train support team members to achieve and maintain sanitation objectives.
Utilize Redzone to monitor team performance, track sanitation tasks, and communicate priorities.
Sanitation Operations
Disassemble, clean, and reassemble production and packaging equipment according to SSOPs.
Operate mechanisms for loading, dumping, and compressing trash and compostable items.
Ensure all cleaning procedures are followed for equipment and facility.
Follow and help maintain the Master Sanitation Schedule including daily and weekly, monthly and quarterly cleaning lists.
Complete and verify checklists, conducting walkthroughs to ensure compliance.
Document sanitation activities and completion of tasks in Redzone for accountability and transparency.
Compliance & Safety
Enforce safety, GMP, and food safety policies; maintain superior plant cleanliness.
Support all safety, food quality, and sanitation initiatives and policies.
Maintain chemical inventory, interact with suppliers for training or troubleshooting as needed.
