Terms of Employment
194 or 196 days, depending on experience within WCSD
0.5 FTE, Mornings each day
Position Criteria
Valid State of Iowa teaching license: required
K-8 Physical Education: required
Performance Criteria
Create and maintain healthy relationships with students.
Demonstrate an understanding of the elements of a Professional Learning Community (PLC) and by able to apply that understanding to a team situation.
Understand and experience in using multiple teaching methods: co‑teaching, collaborating, whole/small group and individualized instruction.
Commit to meeting the needs of diverse learners, including previous experience implementing adaptive PE.
Demonstration of utilizing student reflection and voice.
Commit to ongoing professional growth and development as described in the Iowa Professional Development Standards and support of the Iowa Teaching Standards as the foundation from which to build that ongoing growth plan.
Utilize developmentally appropriate assessments for learning.
Articulate oral and written communications.
Maintain accurate standards based grades and provide measurable and adequate feedback on student work.
