Internship Overview
Visionary Solutions is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator Intern to support the Director in volunteer onboarding, administration, and lifecycle management. This internship provides hands‑on exposure to nonprofit operations, volunteer systems development, and organizational coordination.
The Volunteer Coordinator Intern will help ensure volunteers are onboarded efficiently, supported consistently, and engaged in meaningful work aligned with both organizational goals and individual learning objectives.
This is a flexible, remote internship requiring approximately 5–10 hours per week.
Core Responsibilities
Support volunteer onboarding, documentation, and lifecycle tracking
Serve as a point of contact for volunteers and assist with communication flow
Coordinate training schedules, feedback collection, and recognition efforts
Track volunteer engagement and learning outcomesAssist with recruitment efforts and support internal documentation systems
Contribute to process improvement recommendations
Measurable Outcomes
During the internship, the Volunteer Coordinator Intern will:
Assist in onboarding accepted volunteers within 7 business days
Support timely communication with volunteers
Help implement structured feedback methods
Contribute to at least one documented operational improvement
Skills & Qualifications
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Interest in nonprofit leadership and volunteer management
Comfort with documentation and basic digital tools
Reliable, proactive approach
