Overview
A Table Games Dealer is responsible for providing an entertaining experience for guests while dealing casino games according to the rules of the game being played. Deal assigned game(s) accurately and productively. Offer exceptional customer service to all guests. Maintain detailed knowledge of property events. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).
Responsibilities
Maintain a thorough understanding of and execute the rules and procedures for each game dealt.
Maintain a thorough understanding of and execute all Dealer policies and procedures.
Deal assigned game(s) accurately and productively.
Maintain a detailed knowledge of upcoming casino events.
Communicate with guests, supervisors and managers.
Greet and interact with guests in a professional, welcoming and attentive manner.
Ensure all laws, regulations, MICS and company/departmental policies are followed on assigned game.
Identify cheating techniques on assigned game in a timely fashion in order to preserve the integrity of our games.
Continually communicate pertinent gaming and employee information to the Casino Floor Supervisor, Team Lead, Casino Manager and/or the Casino Shift Manager.
With assistance from the Casino Floor Supervisor, issue / redeem markers to credit customers per MICS and SOPs.
Ensure all equipment on assigned game is in proper working order (i.e., Cards, shufflers, progressive sensors). Report problems to the Casino Floor Supervisor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Maintain equipment in assigned section; ensure that all items are in proper working order.
Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities as requested.
Learn new games to achieve personal and professional goals.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Stand for 60 minutes at a time on a carpeted floor, hardwood floor, or footstool.
Reach across a table that is waist high to give and take the player’s cards and wagers.
Must be able to effectively communicate with excellent interpersonal skills.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Must be able to deal games productively and accurately.
Thorough knowledge of as many Table Games as possible.
Basic mathematical skills required.
Identify different denominations of gaming chips and currency and to count and stack chips and currency.
Print and write legibly.
Maintain confidentiality.
Work as a team.
Effective communication skills.
Appropriate professional appearance and demeanor.
Must be available for various shifts including early morning, late nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours.
Team Player with a guest first attitude.
Minimum age of 21 years old.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A GAMING LICENSE BY THE NEVADA GAMING CONTROL BOARD
Education and/or Experience
Dealing experience preferred.
Mathematical Skills
Basic math skills.
Language Skills
Must be able to speak and understand English.
Physical Demands
Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds.
Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
Frequently stooping, reaching.
Work Environment
Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
Work with others in close spaces.
Moderate to high noise levels.
Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.
Pay Range
USD $12.00 - USD $12.00 /Hr.
Tipped Position
This position earns tips.
