Position Summary:
Lead Pharmacy Technician in the Back End department at Omnicare, closed‑door pharmacy, supporting long‑term care, assisted living, and chronic care customers.

Day In The Life:
As a Lead Pharmacy Technician, you will lead and support the back‑end team in preparation of medications for pharmacists, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in order fulfillment.

Leading and assisting Pre‑Pack, Picking, Staging, Automated Dispensing, Purchasing, Inventory, Returns/Credits, and Delivery departments toward their primary objectives.

Providing regular and timely feedback on pharmacy technician performance.

Partnering with pharmacy leaders on team training plans and collaborating with field training teams as needed.

Assisting in orientation, training, and education programs for all controlled substances in accordance with policies, procedures, state, and federal laws.

The Team:
Omnicare provides care to skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and chronic care settings.

Required Qualifications:

Certification/licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law.

One (1) or more years of experience as a pharmacy technician or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in the long‑term care industry.

Prior experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.

PTCB National Certification.

Education:

Verifiable High School Diploma or GED.

Time Type:
Full time

Pay Range:
$18.50 - $42.35 per hour (base rate); actual offer based on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
