Bon Secours Sports Medicine Primary Care - Richmond, VA: Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to join our outpatient practice in Richmond, Virginia. This is an opportunity to join a respected team delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative and growth-focused environment.
Position Highlights

100% outpatient practice
Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Average 18–24 patients per day
1.0 FTE with a 1-year ramp-up period
Call schedule: every 6–8 weeks (shared among 10+ providers)
Productivity-based compensation model
Clinical Scope

Routine and acute primary care visits (adult population)
Sports medicine services including:
PRP injections
Concussion testing
Ultrasound-guided injections
Onsite diagnostic capabilities: lab, EKG, X-ray, point-of-care testing
Telemedicine and E-visit capabilities via MyChart
Practice Environment

Established practice with strong community reputation
Collaborative team of 5 experienced providers
1:1 clinical support (CMA/LPN), plus administrative and phlebotomy support
Mentorship and onboarding support, including EMR training (EPIC)
Opportunities for student precepting and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications

MD or DO, Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Sports Medicine training or experience preferred
New graduates welcome to apply
BLS certification required
About Bon Secours Sports Medicine & Primary Care

Our practice cares for adult patients age 18+ and geriatric patients. We have 3 primary care physicians and 1 sports medicine physician. Located in the former Redskins training facility, we are in a great location in Richmond City — close access to Interstate 95 & 64, two nearby universities (VCU & VUU), and the Scott’s Addition area with upscale restaurants and nearby attractions such as the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts and Richmond Diamond Baseball stadium.
