Overview
The ideal candidate for this position is self-motivated, self-disciplined, and able to work independently. The candidate will have experience with computer-aided drafting and structural design support. This position offers the opportunity to provide CADD drafting and design skills to support a wide variety of projects.
Responsibilities
Create detailed engineering drawings for all areas of projects in conformance with the design criteria and project requirements.
Provide engineering design support including concrete foundation (pier, spread footing, shallow foundations, slabs), structural steel frames, cable tray steel, platforms.
Receive and transmit digital files of various types between clients, team members, and other team consultants.
All other duties assigned by engineering staff.
Qualifications
Proficient in the application of drafting principles of AutoCAD and CADWorx Structure software.
Design experience in concrete, foundations, and structural steel drawing and detailing.
Experience in 2-D and 3-D.
Provide technical guidance and assistance to lower classified drafting personnel.
Review the work of lower classified drafting personnel to assure accuracy and conformance to design requirements.
Perform work assignments in accordance with the project scope of work and with applicable CAD drafting standards.
Work with others as a contributing member of a project design group.
May be assigned as CADD Leader to contribute to drafting standards, monitor drafting production, and ensure growth of lower classified drafting personnel.
Requires good oral and written communication skills.
Requires proven team leadership experience.
Must be able to clearly communicate with other team members and client personnel.
Proficient in PC operation, including spreadsheet and word processing programs.
Strong attention to details.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Education and Experience
Education: Preferred graduate of two-year technical college
Professional Experience: 7+ years of design/drafting work experience predominantly in the Oil & Gas sector
Beneficial Skills/Certifications
Experience with substation design
Experience with 3D design software such as Inventor, Navisworks, etc
Experience with steel structure detailing including connection design
Experience working closely with structural engineers to incorporate comments efficiently and reduce iterative comment cycles.

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
