Brief Role Description
This position is a career level 20P and is located in San Jose, CA role classification of Hybrid.
The role is to analyze and finalize the requirements catalogue together with the stakeholders and to track the requirements along the product development process. The responsibility also includes developing and implementing compliant internal processes in co-ordination with AUDI AG and AoA. The person is also responsible for identifying the required certifications and coordinating the certification of the entity and the processes together with the experts.
Possible Tasks within this Role
US Specific Requirements Management – 40% of time
Responsible for planning and conducting internal, supplier and legal/ regulatory stakeholder analysis and compiling the stakeholder requirements
Communication and synchronization of requirements with AUDI AG and integration of the requirements into the development specifications
Responsible for continuously tracking the implementation of the requirements over the product development cycle and regular reporting to the department head.
Responsible for developing and implementing an escalation plan within AoA and AUDI AG
Responsible for checking the conformity of the product to the requirements before the release
Process Development and Implementation – 30% of time
Responsible for establishing and implementing the US-HUB internal processes in coordination with AUDI AG and AoA
Certification – 30% of time
Responsible for identifying the required quality and safety certifications
Responsible for preparing the entity and the processes for necessary certifications including identifying, contracting and coordinating the activities of the certifications experts
Responsible for organizing internal audits
Responsible for achieving the necessary certifications including contracting and coordinating third party auditors
Qualification requirements
7+ years
Education
Required
Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, computer science or comparable)
Advanced Degree in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, computer science or comparable)
Skills
Experience in product pre-development and development areas
Knowledge of Volkswagen Group/ AUDI AG internal product development processes
Wide and reliable network within AUDI AG and the Volkswagen Group
Ability to solve complex problems
Ability to work independently
Open minded and empathic work style
Excellent team player
Comfortable with ambiguity and tackling new problems
Specialized Skills
Required
Experience in ensuring compliance with local and international standards and norms
Requirements Manager certification
Prior experience working with DOORS/ AVW
First-hand Knowledge of the VW Group internal requirements management process
German language skills (written and spoken)

Flexibility to travel (domestic and international)

Salary range is dependent on factors such as geographical differentials, industry-based experience, skills, training, credentials, and other qualifications.
In the state of California, the salary range is $165,000 - $195,000
