Security Glazier - Installer

Overview
We are seeking a Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing security glass in various structures, including commercial and detention hollow metal windows and doors, and occasionally commercial storefronts. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with precision in a variety of environments. The Glazier will also collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to high standards.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Communicate effectively with the lead Glazier/foreman about issues and needs.
Assist in the installation of security glass in detention and commercial hollow metal windows, doors, and other structures according to specifications.
Apply caulking and sealants to ensure airtight and watertight installations.
Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction projects.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
Knowledge And Skills Required
Strong communication skills
Must be able to read a tape measure
Caulking experience is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with hand tools used in glass installation and repair.
Physical Demands And Work Environment
This job requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required such as walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.
Schedule
Monday to Friday (8 hours)
Overtime and weekends as needed
Experience
Asst. Glazier: 1 year preferred
Language
English (Required, Spanish is a plus)
License/Certifications/Legal Requirements
Driver's License: Clean driving record required, no DUI’s
Clean criminal history (no felonies)
Must be able to pass regular drug screenings
OSHA 30 preferred
Travel
Ability to travel as needed.
