Finance Intern
Location: Plant 3, Whitehall Casting Operations, Whitehall, MI (On-site).
Export-Controlled Data:
This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
Primary responsibilities include:
Compile daily reports for management
Participate in month end closing
Fixed asset audit – reporting improvements, analysis and physical inventory
Support compliance efforts
The 2026 Summer Internship Program consists of 10‑14 weeks of structured hands‑on training involving plant tours, lunch & learn seminars, networking events to connect with fellow interns, and projects selected to add direct value to the business. At the conclusion of the program, each intern will present their projects to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors. An internship at Howmet Aerospace will provide an invaluable experience that you can utilize in any role, and it is Howmet's goal to evaluate our interns for potential entry‑level openings.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a Finance or Accounting related program.
Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution (by May 2026).
Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
Good oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong Excel skills
Self‑starter
