Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented
Automotive Diagnostic Technician
to join our team. This role is ideal for a technician with deep expertise in diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues across a wide range of vehicles. Your precision and diagnostic accuracy will be essential in ensuring repairs are performed correctly the first time.
Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced diagnostics on domestic, Asian, and European vehicles.
Analyze and interpret scan tool data, trouble codes, wiring diagrams, and OEM service information.
Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify root causes of issues.
Communicate findings and recommended repairs with service advisors and fellow technicians.
Document all work accurately and clearly.
Use and maintain up-to-date diagnostic equipment.
Ensure all repairs meet high standards for quality, safety, and reliability.
Follow shop procedures and safety guidelines.
Stay informed on industry trends and evolving vehicle technology.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.
ASE Certification(s) required (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
Expert-level proficiency with diagnostic tools such as scan tools, oscilloscopes, and multimeters.
In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems and electronic controls.
Ability to read and interpret factory service manuals, schematics, and technical bulletins.
Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
