Overview
Van Metre is hiring a Grounds/Janitorial Service Technician for The Piedmont Raleigh Apartments in Raleigh, NC. The role supports overall cleanliness, appearance, and basic maintenance of the apartment complex.
Responsibilities
Clean clubhouse and common area amenities; empty trash daily, sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, clean windows, disinfect restrooms and high‑touch areas.
Restock cleaning and maintenance products.
Perform grounds work such as sweeping, pressure cleaning, and general environmental upkeep.
Apply or learn skills in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting.
Repair and treat structural elements including showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
Assist maintenance technicians or supervisors with unit make‑ready for new move‑ins.
Help schedule and complete preventative maintenance tasks.
Coordinate special projects as directed.
Requirements
A Grounds/Janitorial Service Technician must maintain a professional and courteous manner toward residents, visitors, contractors, and colleagues. They should be able to follow oral and written instructions, work cooperatively, and stand and walk around the property for most of the day. This is a full‑time position.
Education/Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED (required).
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (required).
Compensation and Benefits
Salary: $16.00–$18.00 per hour (commensurate with experience, education, training, and skills).
Annual bonus potential, renewal, and leasing commissions.
