Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the high-level disinfection and sterilization of medical instruments, ensuring compliance with standards and protocols. This role requires effective communication, teamwork, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Perform cleaning and sterilization processes for surgical instruments.
Document equipment usage and sterilization outcomes.
Maintain compliance with AAMI, AORN, and Title 22 standards.
Ensure proper selection of wrapping materials and sterilization procedures.
Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Certification in Sterile Processing (CRCST or CBSPD).
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sterile processing role preferred.
Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and push/pull carts as needed.
Basic computer literacy and ability to perform mathematical calculations.
