Position Summary
The Preconstruction Drafter will prepare quality representative renderings of proposed greenhouses, related equipment and support structures. Renderings will assist the Sales Team with visuals for customer consumption and the Estimating Team for scope clarity. The Drafter will be responsible for creating representational renderings for multiple projects on a continuous basis to meet proposal and estimating deadlines.

Primary Responsibilities

Create photorealistic 3D renderings and visualizations of Prospiant greenhouse product lines and equipment in preparation for inclusion into proposals for clients/customers, contractually required rendering for submittals and/or customer fundraising efforts.

Work closely with Sales, Designers and Preconstruction Management teams to refine renderings based on feedback.

Assist with creating Prospiant marketing material content.

Help maintain and organize rendering assets, libraries, and templates.

Perform basic design and drafting assignments as requested by Preconstruction Manager.

Participate / aid in layouts and elevation features based on reviewing and compiling information from Sales Team documentation.

Use all available resources to provide professional and accurate documents within the established time frame.

Commit to continuous growth and improvement of professional and personal skills.

Monitor, minimize, and focus on hours spent on all projects.

Communicate with Engineers, Sales, Preconstruction and Project Managers in a professional manner.

Provide ideas and help others to implement continuous improvement initiatives identified in yearly and long-term goals.

Secondary Responsibilities

Assist in estimating and proposal reviews with Sales, Estimating and Pre-Construction Team to ensure alignment with renderings.

Participate in CAD software driven material lists, estimating and materials takeoffs / forecasting.

Participate in integrating automated basic rendering creation via project information data sheets created by Sales.

Position Qualifications

Degree, or currently pursuing, in Architecture, Interior Design, Visualization, or related field.

In lieu of a professional degree: Experience drafting in Architectural Firm, Fabrication or Construction Industries will be considered.

2+ years' experience in Design and Fabrication preferred (less experience could be considered).

Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software such as SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, V-Ray, Lumion, Enscape, Twinmotion, Unreal Engine, or others.

Basic animation or walkthrough experience for VR platforms.

Experience applying standard drafting techniques to develop complete and consistent representative renderings sets ready for design and fabrication team utilization.

Understanding of the architectural design and construction processes.

Capable of working both independently and as part of the team.

Other basic software technical skills: MS Office, Excel, AutoCAD, Inventor, Bluebeam, Navisworks and Procore.

Strong attention to detail and an eye for design, composition, and lighting.

Portfolio showcasing rendering and visualization work (student work accepted).
