Job Description
Smith Brothers Tool Company established in 1981 manufactures a variety of tool fabrication solutions for the Space, Aerospace, and Defense Industries. We are a premier machining, weld fabrication, and tooling shop that provides in‑house design, engineering, building, and certification capabilities. Design and tool fabrication includes assembly tools, lay‑up tools, large and small checking tools, mill fixtures, and more. Some of our customers include Boeing, Bell Helicopter, GE Aviation, and Honda Aircraft Company. We are looking for the right person to join our team!
CNC Machinist/Operator
Job Type: Full‑time.
Responsibilities
Perform setup, adjustments, and operation of the CNC Milling Machines.
Able to run the machines independently.
Must be able to read blueprints.
3‑axis and 5‑axis machining experience required.
Qualifications
Good math and communication skills.
Must understand deadlines and impact on the overall business.
Detail oriented.
5 or more years experience with CNC machines.
Experience with Fidia C20, TPI 2000, Fanuc OiMD, Siemens, and Fadal machines.
Previous experience in the Aerospace industry a plus.
Experience with GD&T, Equipment Troubleshooting, CNC Tooling, Troubleshooting Skills, CNC Programming, Preventive Maintenance & Inspection, G‑Code, M‑Code, Crane Operation, CNC Machine Setup & Changeover, Precision Measurement & Hand Metrology, Manual Machining Skills, Shop Math Skills, Experience in a Manufacturing Environment, Tool/Die/Mold Setup Experience, Blueprint Reading.
