Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solutions Architect to join our growing Grid Software team. In this role, you will be a trusted technical advisor to our named accounts, driving the adoption and expansion of our software portfolio. You will be responsible for understanding customer needs and demonstrating the value of our solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of grid technologies, excellent communication skills, and a passion for customer success.

Responsibilities
Account Expansion: Working closely with the Account Director, proactively identify and develop opportunities to expand our software footprint within named accounts. This includes understanding their business challenges, proposing solutions, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Technical Account Planning: Develop and maintain a comprehensive technical account plan for each assigned named account. This plan should outline customer needs, expansion opportunities, and strategies for achieving success.
Stakeholder Mapping: Develop and maintain a stakeholder map of key technical leaders within accounts and build relationships with these in order to build a strategy with them on adoption roadmaps for the One GSW portfolio.
Scaling Knowledge: Scale your impact by creating assets that share experience on one customer or territory to many. Use your technical expertise and market insights to develop global strategies with other Solutions Architects, sales colleagues, and product management teams.
Demonstrations and Presentations: Deliver compelling and tailored demonstrations and presentations of our entire grid software portfolio to prospective and existing customers, highlighting key features, benefits, and value propositions. Adapt presentations to different audiences (technical, business, executive).
Technical Workshops: Coordinate technical workshops to align with our customers on how the products integrate in their environment.
Proof of Concept (POC) Coordination: Manage and coordinate all aspects of Proof of Concept (POC) activities, including defining success criteria, developing test plans, executing the POC, and presenting results.
RFx Coordination: Coordinate the technical response to Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and other RFx documents, crafting compelling and accurate responses that showcase our technical expertise and solution value.
TLOA Process Coordination: Provide technical leadership and support throughout the Technical Limit of Authority (TLOA) process, ensuring that technical requirements and risks are clearly defined and agreed upon with a clear plan for risk mitigation.
Handover Activities: Ensure a smooth handover of technical knowledge and project details to the partner and/or internal implementation teams, facilitating successful project delivery.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Bachelor’s degree is required.
8+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect or similar technical sales role, preferably within the energy or utility industry.
You must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

The pay range for this position is $103,000 – $175,000 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
