Overview
The Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) Author – Level 1 will play a critical role in developing and maintaining accurate and user-friendly technical documentation for the C-130 platform.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain accurate Illustrated Parts Breakdowns (IPBs) using industry standards such as S1000D and Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in engineering, logistics, supportability, and manufacturing.
Ensure maintainers and operators have the information needed to keep missions moving.
Basic Qualifications
Prior hands‑on or academic experience with the C‑130 platform (maintenance, modification, or publications support).
Experience managing multiple tasks.
Experience reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and/or drawings.
Desired Skills
Familiarity with technical publication standards (S1000D, IETM, IPB).
Experience with Adobe FrameMaker, Windchill, or similar tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline (or equivalent education/experience) advantageous but not required.
