Faculty in the Business Office Technology program are members of the Business Department, which is committed to providing students from diverse backgrounds with a strong foundation in essential business principles. The BTEC curriculum supports the Office Management Professional Associate of Applied Science degree and the Customer Service Office Support certificate, as well as additional Business degrees and certificates. The Business Department values diverse perspectives and professional experiences and promotes a collaborative, participatory culture that recognizes the important role faculty play in service to the college.**Salary Range:**Please note that the full salary range for a nine-month, academic year appointment is $43,067 - $94,542; initial salary placement for new Minnesota State College faculty is between $43,067 and $71,893, depending on academic credentials and years of creditable professional experience.**Minimum Qualifications:*** Bachelor's degree in business, management, business education or marketing.* Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in business office applications and operations.* One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.**Preferred Qualifications:*** Three years of post-secondary teaching experience* Experience teaching college students who are: first generation, English language learners, culturally, racially, linguistically, academically and neuro-diverse.* Documented experience with evidence-based, high-impact teaching practices and course designs for in-person, online, asynchronous, and blended/hybrid delivery models.* Microsoft Office Specialist Certification or five years’ experience using the full suite of Microsoft Office applications* Instructional or work experience in one or more of the following areas: project management, business analytics, business applications of artificial intelligence, or workforce development.* An understanding of the community college mission and its unique student population**Required Application Materials:**Please ensure you have the following items submitted with your application:* Resume/CV* Transcripts* Cover Letter* References# **Other Requirements**Applicant resumes and cover letters should address the minimum and preferred qualifications for this position.
