A Taste of What You’ll Do
We are hiring seasonal Lab Technicians for the 2026 season. In this role you will perform routine physical and chemical analysis of grapes, grape products, alcoholic beverages, water, and other related materials. You will observe safety practices, procedures, and the quality system to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality and excellence.
Responsible for all sanitation inspections and microbiology analysis
Performs the routine analysis using distillation, titrimetric, colorimetric, and instrumental methods supporting the grape harvest
Operates, calibrates, and maintains laboratory instruments such as an auto‑titrator, refractometer, density meter, ion‑specific electrodes, gas chromatographs, high‑performance liquid chromatographs, infrared analyzers, atomic absorption spectrometer, balances, turbidimeters, and other instruments as required
Receives rush samples, prioritizes samples and tests, analyzes samples, and reports results in a timely manner as specified
Enters test results into the laboratory information management system in a timely manner
Prepares chemical solutions used in the laboratory and disposes of chemical wastes according to guidelines
What You’ll Need
Bachelor's Degree OR High School diploma or State‑issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of seasonal GALLO experience OR High School diploma or State‑issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of experience in seasonal or lab technician role at a winery or vineyard.
Required to possess strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Required to lift and carry cases of product that can weigh up to 50 pounds.
Required to maintain 3‑shift availability (day, swing, and graveyard); required to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
Required to conduct work at extreme heights.
Required to be at least 21 years of age.
Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to other travel requirements, if applicable.
Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable.

Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. In addition to the salary, this position

This position will be based in the location(s) specified in the job posting and requires working on‑site with no telecommuting option. You will be expected to live within a commutable distance.
