Job Summary
RN – Dialysis is a contract position located in Tuscaloosa, AL. The role is in‑office, with a schedule that requires willingness to float to other units and hospitals, 36–48 hours per week, holidays as required, and every other weekend. The dialysis unit is located on the fourth floor of the facility campus and the main floor. Dialysis shifts are Monday‑Saturday 6:30–19:00 on the Regional campus with Sunday and after‑hour call and Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6:30–19:00 on the Northport campus with call on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and after hours.
Responsibilities
The nurse and Certified Dialysis Techs on this unit prepare and perform dialysis treatments on patients within our organization.
The position requires:
Frequent rotation; willingness to float to other units and hospitals.
Commitment to 36 or 48 hours per week.
Accepting holidays and every other weekend.
Dialysis ratios – 1:2 (RN:patient) or 1:3 (RN + CCHT:patient).
Equipment – currently uses Fresenius machines, Gambro as needed.
Training will be provided for Fresenius or Gambro if unfamiliar.
Qualifications
Education (Required):
Associate degree in nursing.
Certifications (Required):
AHA BLS.
ACLS or Red Cross.
Licenses (Required):
Registered Nurse, State of Alabama or compact license (no temporary licenses accepted).
NURSYS.
Experience (Required):
2 years of RN experience with at least one recent year in acute dialysis.
Professional nursing certification preferred.
