BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join their fast-paced Internal Medicine department.

As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician, you are a liaison between our internists and our clients regarding patient histories, care instructions, lab results, patient updates, and other topics as requested by the doctors. You will be involved with client contact through phone calls, email, and in person conversations. Additionally, you will assist with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, fill prescriptions, take X‑rays, and obtain lab samples. Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills are required.
As an IM Veterinary Technician you will…
Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
Calculate all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).
Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia.
Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedures.
Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations.
Perform additional job duties as assigned.
