Westchester Medical Center – Full‑time position.
About The Position
Full‑time registered polysomnographic technologist required for the Westchester Medical Center location in Valhalla, NY. The role involves providing sleep services 3–4 nights a week from 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM. Competitive hourly rates and up to $20,000 sign‑on bonus offered. Additional pay per shift tied to attending/scoring productivity. Pediatric experience is required.
Responsibilities
Facilitating tests and collecting data.
Preparing equipment, recording activities, and analyzing results.
Following proper polysomnographic procedures including electrode/sensor placement, equipment calibration, and fitting of airway pressure masks.
Scoring clinical events, such as respiratory and cardiac episodes, and tabulating final data for review.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety laws.
Qualifications
Completion of an accredited polysomnography program.
NY PSG and/or CRT/RT license(s) – preferred; NY PSG or Respiratory Therapist license(s) required.
Board certification as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) in the State of NY, preferred.
Certification in basic cardiac life support (BCLS) and/or CPR.
Current vaccination and immunization records (or titers) as required.
Physical Demands of the Job
The employee must regularly stand, walk, and sit; communicate orally and listen; use hands for office equipment; and lift up to 10 lbs routinely, 25 lbs frequently, and 50 lbs occasionally. Vision requirements include close, distance, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
