Responsibilities

Conduct initial OT evaluations and ongoing assessments to determine therapy needs for residents in a long-term care setting.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving functional mobility, activities of daily living, balance, cognition, and safety with daily living tasks.

Provide direct therapy interventions and teach compensatory strategies, adaptive equipment, and activity modification to promote independence.

Reassess progress regularly, adjust treatment plans, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes and discharge planning.

Document evaluation findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory and facility policies.

Uphold patient safety, infection control practices, and proper documentation standards throughout all activities.

Requirements

Active occupational therapy license in Montana or eligibility for MT licensure

Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

1+ year of experience in occupational therapy, preferably in long-term care or acute care settings

Ability to work a day shift and participate in a travel assignment

Strong communication and collaboration skills; proficient in documentation and care coordination
