About the Job:
The Student Radiologic Technologist supports Diagnostic Radiology services under the supervision of a registered Radiologic Technologist. This role performs imaging exams, assists with procedures, prepares patients, and ensures safe, compassionate care while maintaining high technical standards. The position may also include Tech Aide responsibilities within the CT Department.

What You’ll Do:

Review patient medical information and reconcile exam orders with physician requests

Complete required documentation, consents, and questionnaires prior to imaging

Perform diagnostic radiographic exams—including trauma, orthopedic, fluoroscopic, contrast, and invasive procedures—under supervision

Evaluate image quality, ensure proper documentation, and present studies to Radiologists

Assist Radiologists with invasive fluoroscopic procedures

Prepare and administer IV, oral, and rectal contrast per protocol

Transport and operate portable X‑ray equipment

Support CT Technologists by transporting and positioning patients, preparing contrast, and providing pre‑ and post‑exam instructions

Practice radiation safety in accordance with ALARA guidelines

Use RIS and PACS systems proficiently

Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

Demonstrate compassion, patience, and effective communication in all interactions

Utilize patient safety equipment and appropriate shielding during exams

Who You Are:

A student enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Detail‑oriented, safety‑focused, and committed to producing high‑quality diagnostic images

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced clinical environment with diverse patient populations

Compassionate, patient‑centered, and skilled in communicating clearly with patients and clinical teams

Eager to learn, adaptable, and able to follow direction from registered technologists and Radiologists
