Overview
Dietary Aide
– WeCare Centers at Jameson Care Center is actively seeking motivated dietary aides for our community in New Castle, PA. Our dietary aides assist in the kitchen area prior to, during, and after meals are served to residents.
Responsibilities
Maintain kitchen work areas.
Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
Prepare meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as facility standards and procedures.
Serve meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance, garnished and at proper temperature on a timely basis.
Serve food from steam table and/or transport food delivery carts to the resident areas.
Honor residents’ food likes and dislikes per tray ticket within prescribed diet.
Ensure food supplies for the next day production are available.
Assist cooks in preparing meals as directed.
Use proper hand washing techniques and safety procedures.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Ability to meet all health compliance and competency requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Minimum 1 year food service experience.
