Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technician to assist in surgical procedures involving the heart and vascular system. The CVOR Tech will work closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to ensure a sterile and efficient operating environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare the operating room and sterile field for cardiovascular procedures
Assist the surgical team during cardiovascular operations by passing instruments and supplies
Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are sterilized and functioning properly
Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond promptly during procedures
Maintain accurate counts of surgical instruments, sponges, and supplies before, during, and after procedures
Handle and care for specimens as directed
Maintain strict adherence to infection control and patient safety standards
Participate in the setup and breakdown of the operating room before and after surgeries
Monitor and replenish operating room supplies and instruments
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of experience in a CVOR or surgical tech role
Proficient knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and sterile techniques
Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced surgical environment
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a high-volume cardiovascular surgical setting
