Overview
The Caregiver/Behavior Aide plays a key role in supporting children with behavioral and developmental needs within a multidisciplinary care setting, under the supervision of nursing staff. The Caregiver/Behavior Aide provides direct client care and is responsible for providing assistance with activities of daily living that promotes a child's independence. This position works closely with nursing, therapy, and clinical leadership to support engagement in daily programming, and help create structured, developmentally appropriate environments. The Caregiver/Behavior Aide will help bring consistency, structure, and positive behavior support into the day-to-day experience of each child.
Qualifications
High School Diploma required
Experience working with children with developmental, behavioral, or medical needs preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based clinical environment
Basic personal computer skills and comfort learning electronic charting systems.
Current negative Tuberculosis test (PPD) required.
Current CPR (Basic Life Support) is required.
