Job Summary
MedPro Healthcare Staffing seeks a travel nurse (RN) specializing in psychiatric, to begin 05/11/2026 for 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12-hour overnight shifts. Employment type: Travel.
Responsibilities
Assess the mental health status of patients with behavioral challenges.
Collaborate with medical providers and mental health staff to design and deliver patient care.
Administer and monitor effectiveness and side effects of psychotropic medications.
Assist patients and families to interpret and manage maladaptive behaviors and plan healthy lifestyle changes.
Exercise balanced judgment in evaluation situations and make professional decisions when handling difficult or confrontational situations.
Qualifications
Active RN license.
Degree from an accredited nursing program.
Basic Life Support certifications.
At least 18 months of recent experience in an acute care psychiatric setting.
Other requirements determined by client facility.
