Job Overview
Full Time, TBD Salary. Location: Lawton, Oklahoma. Western Hills Christian Church is seeking a senior pastor to lead the congregation in a new season of growth and effective ministry. The church has approximately 125 members.
Duties and Responsibilities
Shepherding:
Available and accessible to every member; demonstrates integrity, provides counsel, instructs, and guides biblically; seeks elder council when needed.
Preaching and Teaching:
Pursues the salvation of the lost through the gospel; teaches, edifies, trains, and nurtures toward spiritual maturity; maintains doctrinal accuracy with elders.
Administration:
Oversees weekly worship services and special events; observes office hours per elders; leads staff and performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications
A seminary graduate is preferred. Minimum of 3 years pastoral leadership preferred. Meets the spiritual characteristics in 1 Timothy 3:1‑7 and Titus 1:6‑9; growing relationship with Jesus Christ; commitment to spiritual health and maturity; passion for evangelism, discipleship, missions; love for preaching and teaching.
